We done the first the dow floor and have a promeise from the govement to provide the materials to the second floor. we need to raise the money for the constructors.

This community has about 150 low-income families and about 450 children of whom 200 are currently studying in school. While the school was built children received classes in local churches.

The project is advanced by 75%. It requires resources for salaries of teachers, improve lighting, make a perimeter wall and a children's breakfast.

Tiburcio Martinez School in Monteverde

Monteverde is a community whose population lives in state of extreme poverty. It is a community of 180 families, with approximately 450 children. We began a school with hopes of providing an education, so that these children have the opportunity to better their lives.
This project is in its first phase. It began in 1999 with the registration of 68 children. At the moment, we have 270 children registered in our school.

The second phase of this project is:
To develop and purchase high quality materials for all of the classes
To provide adult literacy classes in the evenings Monday to Friday, and during the day on Saturdays and Sundays.
To create a computer lab, so that the children who graduate from elementary school will be familiar with this tool and learn how to use Microsoft Office.
To hire four additional teachers
To enlarge the school and to build four new classrooms
To finish the construction of the bathrooms
To build wall around the outside of the school
